Senior School

Dr. Kavita Verma, Senior School In-charge holds twenty five years of teaching experience. She is heading the Biology Department since 2017 and has introduced several innovations in the transaction of the Biology curriculum. Her approach is focused towards hands-on teaching and learning.

Before joining Sanskriti in 2005, Dr. Kavita was working as a Scientist in the School of Life Sciences, JNU, New Delhi. She is a recipient of the President’s DST Young Scientist award in 2001 for her Postdoctoral work and holds the MP Young Scientist award given in the recognition of her doctoral research by the MP Science Congress Association. She is also a recipient of various fellowships awarded by UGC and CSIR. As a student, she received the National Merit Scholarship in 1985.

Dr. Kavita graduated in Science from Govt. Girls College, Bhopal and completed her Post Graduation in Microbiology from University Teaching Department, Barkatullah University, Bhopal where she completed her Doctorate. She feels that she had the opportunity to learn from some of the finest teachers from whom she imbibed various life skills that she invariably brings in during her day to day academic and non- academic interaction with the students.

As a teacher, she is passionate and draws inspiration from nature which helps her bring creativity in her teaching by amalgamating her lessons from nature with technology. She believes in giving her best to the society in the capacity of various roles that she plays.

Middle School

With over 25 years of experience in teaching Computer Science, our Middle School Incharge and ATL Incharge, Mrs Anuja Mittal, is a passionate educator and a valued leader within our academic community. Her extensive expertise has been instrumental in shaping a technology-driven learning environment that empowers students with essential digital and innovative skills.

Mrs Mittal brings a deep understanding of Computer Science education to the middle and senior school curriculum, introducing students to the fundamentals of coding, computational thinking, and digital citizenship. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, she fosters curiosity, creativity, and real-world problem-solving in every student.

As the Middle School Incharge, Mrs Mittal plays a key role in curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, and integrating technology across disciplines. She is committed to nurturing a collaborative and inclusive learning culture where both students and teachers are supported and inspired.

A sincere and dedicated student, Mrs Mittal graduated in Computer Science from the University of Delhi and did Masters in Computer Science and B.Ed. from Maharishi Dayanand University. Mrs. Anuja Mittal started her professional career as a corporate trainer at NIIT Ltd. She shifted to the education sector twenty-five years ago, for the sheer joy of learning and working with students. Having joined Sanskriti in 2003 as a Computer Science teacher, she was the head of the Computer Science Department and has seen it go from strength to strength.

A strong advocate for 21st-century learning, Mrs Mittal continues to lead by example—ensuring that our students are not just users of technology, but confident creators, thinkers, and future-ready leaders.

Junior School

Ms Ekta Singh took over as the Junior School Incharge in April 2025. A part of the Sanskriti family since August 1998, she brings to her role a deep rooted commitment to the growth and wellbeing of the Junior School, having worked closely with students, teachers and parents over the years.

Her journey at Sanskriti has been marked by an unwavering dedication to nurturing a vibrant, inclusive and forward looking learning environment. Known for her calm leadership and empathetic approach, Ms Singh has guided her students with patience and care, always seeking to make classrooms joyful spaces where curiosity thrives. Her belief that each child is unique continues to shape her approach to education, where academic growth is harmonised with physical, emotional and social development.

Ms Singh holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, a Master’s degree in English and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Delhi. Her strong academic foundation has supported her thoughtful and informed approach to early years education.

Her contributions extend beyond the classroom. She has played a key role in curriculum development, having authored Hindi textbooks tailored to meet the needs of early learners. Her work reflects a clear understanding of how young minds grasp language and meaning. Having taught a wide range of classes, from Nursery to Class 4, she brings with her a variety of experience and depth of understanding of the different learning needs of each stage. Having been the Grade Representative for a few years, she has consistently fostered team collaboration, supported teachers and demonstrated sound decision making, especially during periods of change and adaptation.

Ms Ekta Singh often says, “Every child is a story waiting to unfold. Our role as educators is to provide the space, guidance and encouragement for them to write their own narrative of success.”
